In these Terms & Conditions ‘you’ means (i) you as an individual and also (ii) the firm, company, or professional organisation where you carry out your professional or business activities (and on behalf of whose professional or business activities you are accessing our site); ‘we’/’our’ means (i) practicalconveyancing.co.uk, (ii) Legalease Ltd, (iii) the authors and copyright holders of any material appearing on the site or accessed via it, and (iv) and other person or company involved in the design, production, preparation, maintenance, and support of the site;'site' means practicalconveyancing.co.uk or any website accessed via practicalconveyancing.co.uk
2. These Terms & Conditions shall apply to any contract between us for the supply of goods or services purchased or supplied via our web site on this and on all future occasions when you log in (including, for the avoidance of doubt, when logging in for any separately registered products or services, such as CPD or Online Risk Management Tutorials).
3. These Terms & Conditions are subject to amendment by us without having to give you notice. Our Terms & Conditions are always available to you (by clicking on ‘Terms & Conditions’) and you should check every time you log-in that you are willing to accept the then current version of these Terms & Conditions (and if you are not, then you should log off immediately).
4. All material included in our site is intended for information purposes only and does not represent legal advice. You are hereby placed under notice that you should take appropriate steps to verify such information. You agree not to act or refrain from acting on the information contained in the site without first verifying the information.
5. As a professional person you acknowledge that it would not be reasonable for you to rely on information contained in the site without first verifying the information elsewhere.
6. We make no representations or warranties whatsoever as to the accuracy or comprehensiveness of the information contained in this web site.
7. We expressly disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage occasioned from the use or inability to use the site whether directly or indirectly resulting from inaccuracies, defects, errors, whether typographical or otherwise, omissions, out of date information or otherwise, even if such loss was reasonably foreseeable and we had been advised of the possibility of the same. Consequential and indirect loss and damage shall include but not be limited to loss of profits, loss of goodwill, and wasted expenditure.

12. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS SITE IS SOLELY INTENDED FOR USE BY YOU AS A PROPERTY LAWYER ACTING IN A PROFESSIONAL AND BUSINESS CAPACITY. FURTHERMORE YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT IS NOT YOUR (OR OUR) INTENTION THAT YOUR DEALINGS WITH US SHOULD BE AS A CONSUMER, AND THAT THE EXCLUSIONS AND PROVISIONS SET OUT HERE ARE REASONABLE.
13. If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions which shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Our omission to exercise any right under these Terms & Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of any such right unless expressly accepted by us in writing.

Copyright in the text and information contained in the site is the copyright of the respective owners referred to (but if no copyright information is providedthen the copyright is owned by Legalease Ltd). Subject to any other additional copyright restrictions imposed by such copyright holders, you may print, copy or forward information from the site for personal business and professional use only - but may not print, copy or forward material for other people (including, for the avoidance, of doubt, professional colleagues).
16. If you identify any material on our site you consider is a breach of your or someone else’s copyright, defamatory, obscene or otherwise illegal, any article for sale on our website which contains such material, or any other unlawful activity connected with our website please notify us immediately by email (use the email address in 'contact' on the home page).
17. Permanent copying and/or storage of whole or part of the site or the information contained therein or reproduction or incorporation of any part of it in any other work or publication whether paper or electronic media or any other form is expressly prohibited.
18. You agree that all communications between us relating to the site and the purchase of any items from it will be made by electronic mail, and that for all purposes a communication by electronic mail is to be considered a communication in writing. Our main contact electronic mail address is set out on our home page (‘contact’). We will always contact you at the electronic mail address you have given us when registering as a user of our site. When we send you an email (or you send us an email) it can be assumed it has been received as soon as the recipient is able to access it. We monitor our electronic mail boxes every working day and you agree to do likewise.
19. Your subscription to the site may have been partly induced by a promotional offer made by us (eg a free night in a hotel). Such promotional offers are made by us in good faith but are not provided by us and are the sole responsibility of a third party supplier (such as My Business Incentives), who you agree will be solely responsible for any complaint you may have as to delivery (or non-delivery) and the quality of the goods or services provided by them or their agents as part of the promotional offer, or for any loss or damage arising. You agree that our responsibility will be limited solely to informing such third party supplier of your entitlement to the promotional offer and that we shall otherwise have no responsibility for the delivery (or non-delivery) and the quality of the goods or services provided or for any loss or damage arising.
20. Your subscription is for you as an individual and is not transferable. This is irrespective of whether it may have been paid for by a third party for whom you work or are employed. Accordingly, if you should subsequently cease to work for that third party (or cease to be so employed) then your subscription will remain with you until expiry. For the avoidance of doubt, the subscription will not be transferable by the third party to some other person in place of you (eg an ex-employer cannot reclaim a subscription from an ex-employee and transfer it to another employee).
21. Any CPD subscription is conditional on you having a current subscription to the site at all times during the CPD year (eg if the CPD year expires on 31 October and your subscription to the site expires on 30 September then you will need to renew your annual site subscription to be entitled to your CPD Year expiry certificate on 31 October).
22. You acknowledge that we can any time in our absolute discretion cancel your subscription to the site and refund the time-apportioned balance of your annual subscription to you, whereupon we shall have no further liability or commitment to you (save for any CPD course provision requirements).
23. These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales and you (and we) agree to submit any dispute arising out of the use of this web site to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
