HMLR - or is it LR? Print

Which is correct: ‘HM Land Registry HMLR’ or ‘Land Registry’?

The answer is that both are valid. LRA 2002 creates the office ‘called her Majesty’s Land Registry’, but HMLR has introduced a corporate image (plain ‘Land Registry’). Strictly speaking, therefore, the correct title would seem to be HM Land Registry. Source: www.practicallaw.com (subscription service).
