Standard Conditions - no mortgage? |

There is no provision in the Standard Conditions allowing a buyer to rescind if the lender withdraws a mortgage offer. Given the current difficulties in the mortgage market, it is now being suggested that the prudent might like to insert a special condition to that effect (one suspects that most sellers today are not in a position to reject such a requirement).
